First, my rant of the week is about Mike McCarthy. I talked to Joe about this as well.

I hired Mike 14 years ago in the coaching process,

and we picked him over Sean Peyton. There was some familiarity with Mike. He was on the staff

years before with Ray Rhodes one year as quarterback's coach. And it was just interesting to me to see

Mike get the play that he deserved. You know, it's tough being in Green Bay where he's been this past year not working for the team.

Everything everywhere is about the Packers living there and not working for the team can be tough.

I feel for him.

It's good to see him hired, of course, with the Jones family as the new coach of the Dallas Cowboys.
