We felt we couldn't start today's podcast without mentioning the war in Ukraine.

Like everyone, our thoughts over the last week or so have been consumed with sadness for the people of Ukraine

Yeah, my mom used the term life partner the other day and I was like what I mean she's also

she's been happy married for the last like this year. She's the word life referred to him as a life partner.

Which is mom. It's quite a like literal it's a bit like how Americans say like seeing eyeglasses for glasses. Do you know what I mean?

It's quite like a literal translation of what that person is. But I think boyfriend, yeah, it does almost sound a bit juvenile.
