By faith tonight, we are going to do five chapters. That's five chapters, right?

14, 15, 16, 17, 18. Okay. Now I know that I said that two weeks in a row that we were going to cover all these chapters and we didn't.

So I want you to know that I am committed tonight to get through chapters 14 through chapter 18. So why

0:22.9

don't we begin with a word of prayer if you would join with me and we'll ask God to

Loving Heavenly Father, we are so grateful to you for your word and this portion that we have

0:44.1

before us tonight here in the Book of Job. But Lord, we're also keenly aware that unless

2:13.0

They have heaped insult to injury as Job is here sitting on an ash heap of burnt rubbish and scraping

2:23.9

with sharp objects his boils which cover him from head to toe. That's just the physical

2:30.4

suffering. He's also suffered emotionally the loss of all 10 of his children,

2:37.0

seven sons and three daughters. He has just experienced the unthinkable. He has lost all of

2:44.0

his wealth. He has lost all of his children. He has essentially lost everything and his wife who can't bear to see him

2:54.2

as hideous as he would have been in saying to him just curse God and get this over with.

3:06.4

And if you curse God, he'll kill you and put you out of your misery.
