Yeah, and so I wanted to talk to Mark on the occasion, the sad occasion of Joan Dittian's

passing, which happened, I think, what, December 23rd or 24th, right before Christmas.

Mark, Joan Dittian had a really interesting evolution as a writer, sort of politically,

and more ways than just that.

What do you think looking back on her career, some of her biggest legacies to the field

of journalism and American nonfiction writing, maybe even fiction writing, sure, plenty

of fiction as well?
