Happy Thursday.

And shout out to everybody who wished me a happy birthday yesterday, including my mom, who somehow got past the call screener and was on live radio yesterday. My mom was on live radio. This could be a problem. It's all I was thinking the whole time. But we had a perfect day. Spent a fine night with Jenny and Lincoln. And then, of course, we got to watch the Trump man's speech around 9 p.m.

And the truth is, substantively, I think Trump did a great job of separating himself from

Joe Biden.

But he simultaneously sounded like he was using the same locker full of cocaine that they left

behind in the Biden administration.

I mean, wrong.

No, he was speaking fast out of the gate.

And we're going to get to the substance, though, because there were things I really love,

like the bonus to the troops.

Amen.

If you're a troop, if you're a cop, first responder, firemen, anybody throwing on a uniform

to protect us, you are the MVP's of society.

So we should be doing everything we can to support you and not stopping there. We should always be going above and beyond for our troops.

So that part I really liked. And of course, when the speech was over and everybody went crazy

and said none of it's true and the economy's not really that got bad, you know, that whole thing.

It's not actually working. He's saying it's working, but you don't understand it's not actually doing good.

People aren't buying at CNN, you dumb bastard.

Because what happened this morning is the inflation numbers came out and they were way lower, way lower, than what people

expected them to be.

I believe the inflation prediction would be 3.1 percent, and it came in at 2.7.

How about, yeah, awesome.
