Happy Thursday. If you watched me last night with Jesse Waters on Jesse Waters' primetime,

this is for you. Thank you. We had a good time. A lot of people were up in my Twitter feed with comments

about the hijinks. And it was good to take the edge off because it's a heavy week of news.

We're still looking for Savannah Guthrie's mom. And that's a really heavy story for everybody

to cover. Everyone's beat up about it. It's a mom. You know, you can't imagine being in their

shoes. And one of the

greatest opportunities I have in the media is when the world is as dower and is beat up and

downtrodden as it is. Being a comedian allows you to take people's thoughts elsewhere. You come out,

you do your little tap dance, make your balloon animals, whatever the hell it is you do in the name of funny. And you get everybody's mind off of just how upset they are about everything going on in the news. I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore. My job is to take that guy and make them laugh for a few minutes. So that's the goal. And when we get on the air to do hard news, that is the goal. Like, we cover it pretty seriously. We offer you up. I mean, you're getting at a level analysis on this show that I don't think is paralleled anywhere in the media. Like, we're actually really good at this. But the hook is we don't take ourselves seriously. But as a guy who wants to get on the air for three hours and just have a good time with you, there are certain things.

There are certain things that drive me insane.

Okay.

And it got worse when I became a parent.

A lot of parents out there are fat because they can't waste food.

They don't like it. It starts out when you have a little kid.

Okay. And little kid makes a whole box of macaroni and cheese eats two spoonfuls.
