Jimmy Kimmel is off the air indefinitely.

Walt Disney's ABC Network pulled the late night show Jimmy Kimmel live off the air after the

hosts received backlash for his remarks about the killing of Republican activist Charlie Kirk.

The suspension started with last night's

broadcast and came after Next Star Media Group, which owns several ABC TV affiliates, said it would

pull the show from its stations for the foreseeable future, calling Kimmel's remarks offensive

and insensitive. Brendan Carr, the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, told podcast host

Benny Johnson that he had a strong case to punish Kimmel, ABC, and Disney.

Following the announcement, President Trump posted on Truth Social that this is great news

for America and appeared to suggest that NBC get rid of late-night host Seth Myers and

Jimmy Fallon. This comes at a time when media companies are faced with a complicated political

climate. Last year, Disney paid $15 million to settle a defamation lawsuit brought by President

Trump. Trump also sued the New York Times this week for $15 billion.

Meanwhile, Sinclair, the largest owner of ABC affiliates owning 40 ABC stations, said in a separate

statement that it will keep Kimmel's program off the air.

Huawei has unveiled its super pod technology.

The company said in a statement that the new tech can support linking as many as 15,488

graphics cards containing Huawei's Ascend branded artificial intelligence chip.
