You may know my guest today as the host with the

amazing laugh on the channel Full Panel Show 8 out of 10 Cats does countdown and

it's that point in the calendar when his Christmas show the Big Fat Quiz of the

year is about to appear on our screens.

However, his roots are planted deep in stand-up.

He's known for his quick-fire one-liners and boundary-pushing sets where no subject is off the

table.

And that's exactly what I was hoping for today. We talk

about his new book, a sort of funny self-help guide, escaping a quarter life

crisis and singing with Kylie Manogue, all over bowls of excellent Chinese food.

Yes, my guest is a man who says his hair has had a starring role in at least two LEGO movies.

I spent a lot of time thinking about funny titles.

My second pitch was just the tip, take it from Jimmy Car.

So some of the guests on out to lunch say I'll eat anything which makes it a little bit

complicated because there are a lot of restaurants in London to choose from. Jimmy Carr

made it very simple. He said he really liked Chinese food so I thought

brilliant I'll bring him to the Royal China Club on

Baker Street. It's part of the Royal China Group. Look them up online they have

branches all over London and they're all really good.
