Jimbo Fisher has been fired at Texas A&M.

76 plus million dollar buyout. That is the American dream, folks, to get paid to not work,

and he's going to get paid to not work. He actually could work and still get paid.

There's no offset on this thing. 25% due within 60 days.

That's over $19 million.

What a deal for Jimbo Fisher.

But for Texas A&M, a decision they probably had to make at this point because

the Jimbo Fisher era had gotten to the point where it was what it was.

It was not going to get better.

It may not have appreciably gotten worse, but it was never going to be what they wanted it.

They hired Jimbo Fisher to compete for SEC titles, to compete for national titles.

It's really the same thing they did when they hired Jackie Sherrill back in the day.

It just didn't turn out the way

they wanted it to. They never got to the level that they wanted. And it's, it's one of the great

mysteries with Texas A&M that they can never seem to get to that level. This is a program that

hasn't won a national title since the 30s. and we're about to have some more 30s.

It tells you how long that's been.

But they have the location, the fan base, the passion, the giant stadium, the access to recruits, you name it.

They have all of it.

They have all of the things that the schools that win national titles have.

But for whatever reason, Texas A&M has never been able to get over the hump.
