Going back to last night's game, always say this.

Nothing lives up to the hype except that did.

Dan Cannibal promised it from day one too, didn't he?

On day one, nobody really understood that guy, knew what to make of that guy, thought he was kind of a crazy dude. But from day one,

he did promise his lions would devour kneecaps, kick teeth in, and that they would be the

last one standing. And they would do so on their own terms. And I've got to hand it to, dude,

because he keeps delivering on that promise over and over and over and over again.

I bring that intro presser up because that is the same mentality behind the seemingly, seemingly insane decision to go for it on fourth down at the end of that game last night.

I mean, of course, he could have just kicked it and gone ahead with 40 seconds left and put his defense back on

the field to try to stop Jordan Love and that Packer offense, which, by the way, Detroit really

was not doing that at all in the second half. They did get out quickly defensively to start the

game, but in the second half, they weren't getting it done. Here's the thing, though, about kicking

it with 40 seconds left to go up three. Back in the day, that was the play. Today, that is not a kill shot.

And we know that dude is in it for the kill shot.

That's not putting that game away.

That's not finishing.

That's not biting kneecaps off.

That's not kicking teeth in.
