He had signed a 13 year, 350 million dollar deal last week the fourth largest contract in MLB history

so that was going to be a big day now they were supposed to introduce him but

they did not.

At the last minute, they, quote,

postponed their own presser,

reportedly over concerns about his physical.

Now, this is weird, right?

Really weird, strange, unusual.

Not really what you want to see is you're about to throw the dude a 13 year deal

for over a third of a bill like why are they cancelling that

presser and that is an uh oh you you know at the time it seemed like an uh-oh but more of a smaller scale uh-oh

like a Lisa Salters uh-oh as opposed to a Carl, uh-oh, as opposed to a Carl Lewis, uh-oh.

But something was not right, something was off.

I mean, I guess what I'm saying is, something was off. I mean I guess what I'm saying is something was off but certainly fixable

and maybe you don't lose sleep over it or so we thought because well

everybody was sleeping John Hayman dropped this absolute nuke of breaking news.
