So about halfway through the third quarter last night, I'm watching this game like the rest of you.

And I think of myself, you know, maybe, maybe, maybe it is possible.

Maybe Joe Burrow knew what he was talking about.

Maybe this team actually could run off seven of the last nine games.

Maybe this season might be salvaged.

I was all ready to say, move over, Matt Tober.

It's Joe Vember or or maybe Chase Vember, or Jamar Vember.

Because for two and a half quarters, it was all Bengals last night.

For two and a half quarters, that was the best football they played all year long on both sides.

But two and a half quarters, it looked exactly like the performance that they needed to get their season back on track.

And then, Chase Brown fumbled.

Then the Bengals forgot how to tackle.

And then they remembered they were the Bengals. They went from up 14 in the

second half to an LT Hammer drop, dropping on their big hopes to turn that season around.

From 21 to 7 to that.

From up 21 to 7 to that, the L.T. Hammer.

What a brutal, brutal loss for the Natty.

I mean, what a great cover for me and anybody who took the Bengals and the points.

But what a terrible loss for that team.

Terrible loss for the team. And also,

this is the opposite of breaking news. We almost need a reverse breaking news sounder for this.
