and Arizona State. Milwaukee is 73 and 52. They're in first in the NL Central. They're red hot. They've won

six straight. They're in St. Louis continuing with their series with the Cardinals. We are joined

right now by Pat Murphy. Pat, it is awesome to have you on. How you doing, Pat?

My pleasure. I'm doing well. Thanks. Good. Thanks so much. So the team is, well, you're in real good company right now, right? You've won 70 games.

You've got a double-digit lead in the division. So how do you feel about this group and the way they're playing as we move into late August?

Yeah, I'm thrilled with the group. I mean, they compete every night. That's what it's about.

They break it down pretty good and stay in the present. And yeah, they

compete. They're a good bunch. They're very, very young. I think there was very low expectations

coming in by the rest of the baseball world. But they decided that they wanted to make it special.

So so far, so far they're living up to what they came up with.

Hey, Pat, you beat me to it. That's where I was going next. Funny game baseball, right?

Because heading into the season, preseason projections did not have the Brewers

slotted that highly, maybe based on that deal that sent former Cy Younger Corbyn Burns to Baltimore.

But your team has played really well, and I would say in every

phase of the game.

I'm curious, what were your expectations for the group coming in?

In other words, Pat, did you think you'd be sitting at 20 games over or more than 20 games
