All right guys, you've got a special guest on the podcast today.

His name is Jim Ramos, so he is an author, speaker,

and the founder of Men in the Arena,

that is a Christian nonprofit focused on equipping men to honor God

in the leadership of their family, church, and community.

So he has a new book that's out now called Dialed In,

reaching your full capacity as a man of God. but this guy's written over a dozen books at this point, kind of all in that men's ministry type vein, and this guy's been doing this men's ministry thing for about 30, I think he said 35 years or so. But in this particular podcast we flowed quite a bit on a lot of the same subjects that you guys have heard me talk about for a long time. So how did he get into the men's space? Why is he choosing to stay there? Because it can be kind of niche. But we talk about what it means to have a man-friendly

church, not just focus on men's ministry. What culture has done to the role of manhood and how we look at manhood,

but also looking at things like cowardly

passers not really talking to young men saying hey you shouldn't be having

sex and you know living with your girlfriends before you get married it's bad for you

you shouldn't do it and really

how that cowardice really spreads into a lot of other different subject matters

where pastors don't want to talk about abortion they don't want to talk about

anything politically related they don't want to talk about anything that's

culturally politically or sociately charged and how that doesn't really lead They don't want to talk about anything that's culturally, politically, or

societally charged and how that doesn't really lead to good things overall, but

we weaved in and out of a lot of great subjects there for about the first half hour

and then the last half hour we get into dialed in and so again it's dialed in reaching your full
