began with a big dream, a dream when I was 11 years old for some reason that was about the time

it began to click in that these voices that were coming into my living room on weekends. I was

completely enchanted by all of them in raptured and I went to Houston with one goal. That was the

one day figured out a way to be discovered by CBS. Yet I would have taken any network obviously.

Sure. But the goal was to work for CBS and anyone that knows me since I was a little boy knows

that that was the dream. Joining me here on this episode of Just Getting Started, the special

NFL Voices Trencha podcast that we've been putting out ever since the season kicked off is the

voice of the NFL on CBS known other than Jim Nance. How are you Jim? I am doing really well,

so excited to have the season here right before us now and ready to get back to some football.

Now me to no question about that and let's just jump right into the subject matter here,

which is origin stories and how careers began and how careers have evolved and let's get started

with yours. How did you just get started Jim Nance? Well, formally it got started when I was in

college but conceptually it starts when you're a kid and I think a lot of people can relate to this

me to places around the world that seemed far away and not even real and I nurtured it that dream

and went to college to try to pursue it and then thankfully in college there was a few things that

would I guess would fall into the category of serendipity but a lot of it you have to make your own

breaks as we all have rich and I got started when I was at the University of Houston and I went

to Houston with one goal that was the one day figured out a way to be discovered by CBS.
