there to see the needs and today as we run through the interviews from last week, comprehensively

covering and analyzing every part of the Ohio State football team, Jim Knowles, James

Laurenidas. And we will start with Jim Knowles because last week guys, we did talk about the

hiring of James Laurenidas. We didn't have, we hadn't heard from James Laurenidas at that

point, so now we have heard from him and we want to talk about what he said about joining the

Ohio State football staff. But Nathan, this really was an opportunity first time since the George

a game to talk with the head coach of the defense and to talk about, I would imagine. And again,

I actually did not go back and listen to either of these, but so I'm just blindly steering the

podcast into nowhere. Buck, I talk and hoping you guys will provide the actual information. But

rough end, good start, like pretty solid 11 games for the Ohio State defense, I think.

More good than bad, rough stuff at the end. Do we get a vibe from Jim Knowles of how he thought

the George a game went and how he thought the season went in year one as Ohio State's defensive

coordinator, Nathan? Well, you remind me of a sports editor I once had who was fond of saying,

I like to run a loose ship to which I always, it was very good, it's a very good guy in many

other respects, but I always was like, doesn't that mean you're just not driving the boat at all?

Like run a loose ship? I mean, you just, you might crash into the rocks, you might be lost at sea

somewhere in the middle. Yeah, he he talked briefly about the George a game and said he had watched

it once, watched it back once so far and then cut it up and and pass it along to players for

review and two things really stand out still. I mean, the explosive plays and their inability

to correct those sufficiently enough between the Michigan game to there. We're still on his mind
