Born in 1830 in Jhansi, Jhalkari Bai came from a humble background. She grew up to be a fierce warrior and advisor to Jhansi's queen. She fearlessly fought the British disguised as the queen, sacrificing her own life to allow the queen of Jhansi and the infant prince to escape to fight another day.
