Welcome to the Biblical World on Script Podcast.

I am joined today by Leonard, who is a professor from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska,

who has recently published a book on the Jewish translations of the Hebrew Bible.

So really exciting to hear more about just this kind of vast field, right,

as Jewish populations moved out of Israel into the diaspora and what they brought with them and how they translated the Hebrew Bible as they as they kind of made new communities. So really, really looking

forward to that. I know a lot of listeners have questions about what are the different translations

or the different editions and how do we do textual criticism and all of those things. And so we're

really excited to get this overview of the Jewish translation.

Can you share a little bit more about yourself?

I'm very happy to be here today.

I'm a native of Richmond, Virginia.

I did my undergraduate work, actually, at the University of Richmond, and my graduate work at Harvard in between my undergraduate and my graduate school.
