Yeah, I feel like we've been all over the place today.

We have jets, giants, Knicks, Rangers, a little bit of Mets and Yankee talk. You know, the good news, there is a silver lining for the Jets. I mean, they're estimated to have it, you know, somewhere between 10 and 12 picks, maybe even more for this upcoming draft. Okay. And then in 2027, I mean, they have three first round picks. So in this draft, they got two first round picks, two second round picks.

Next year. And then in 2027, I mean, they have three first round picks.

So in this draft, they got two first round picks, two second round picks. Next year, they got three first round picks and their own second round pick. I mean, that is a haul right now is where the Jets are sitting. And, you know, this is where, you know, Darren Mucci is really going to have to shine. I mean, if they're going to rebuild this team now is the time to do it the next two years, the question that I would have for Woody Johnson will be, given the fact that the quarterback is going to be a bridge quarterback and maybe they do draft somebody in the second round or late in the first round like the Giants did last year when they traded back up to go get Jackson Dart. Maybe it is Ty Simpson.

Maybe it is Trinidad Chambliss.

Who knows?

They're going to, this is where you build your football team.

And this is why I think that Darren Moody did all the right things when it came to trading Quinn and Williams, who wanted out anyway, and then got two first rounders for Sauce Gardner.

It was insane.

You think about it because he was actually, his play was decreasing here.

And he, even though he got the contract, he probably was so happy and relieved to be traded to a team that looked like it was heading into the playoffs, and then he got hurt. Yep, and the team never won a game. So it actually, you know, when you look at it from that perspective, Darren Mucci's done a great job here. And drafting, you know, Mbou with the eighth pick overall last year, that that's a win. So maybe he knows what he's doing, and now he gets to shine.

This is, as we get through all of this crap with the coaching staff, he is the one now that with his scouts, he's going to have a chance to rebuild this team.

That's the silver lining here for the Jets.

Yeah, I mean, that's the only way out of this is to have draft picks that end up turning out to be starters at lots of positions.

I don't know how many times we have brought up the example of the Detroit Lions.

And when you would talk about this is how it started, this is how bad it was.

And then I said, well, the reason they got out of it is look at how many starters they got out of the draft.

And it's because you get

those guys on rookie contracts and you have them under control for many years before you have to

make a decision to sign them as a free agent or not. You know, you get that, you get all those

years and the 50-year option things we talk about. I mean, there's so many ways to build a team.

The easiest way to build a team, it's not the easiest.
