Yesterday during the show, we found out about Tommy DeVito likely being released.

He was indeed.

And Brian Daibble didn't talk about it because it wasn't official at the time.

And you talk about the upside that kid had when they drafted him.

Yeah, because when they drafted him, they wanted him to be the compliment to Garrett Wilson, right? And everything that we've heard about this kid thus far has been somewhat disappointing from not being able to retain the playbook, him feeling like he should have been a day one guy. And it was like, how are you going to be a day one guy? You don't even know the playbook, right? On top of him, you know, from all reports that he's not been the best

guy in the locker room, so to speak. So I just thought he was with Devonthe Adams leaving

Garrett now stepping into the number one spot, he would have been great in the slot for the Jets.

And so that's just disheartening because the Jets need everything. I mean, they need all hands on deck going into the season. So I thought he was going to be a legit weapon. Like Feeke said, there was so much expectation about this kid being to be a big time third down receiver and his ability to catch the ball and do things after the catch. Now he's not on the roster. So it just seems like when we talked about Jacobi Myers yesterday, it seems like

this is a guy that the Jets need now because he's going to have to be a compliment to Garrett Wilson if they can get him. Yeah, and that was the whole thing back and forth with Samini and Aaron Glenn the other day about needing a receiver, going to get a receiver and really not giving you. Not that I would expect him to give an answer in that scenario, but I think we all agree.
