Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic

study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book. We have a trick question for you today.

What do you want from Jesus? If you were with us for our last

searchlight program, you will understand why that is a trick question. The real answer is that

we don't want anything from Jesus. What we really want is just Jesus himself. The problem is that

we get confused about this and we start seeking

things from Him. What we should do is simply seek Jesus. But we're not the only ones

confused. In our study in John chapter 6, we see that the people of that time were also confused.

Jesus had miraculously fed 5,000 people,

and many now saw him as their supplier. Jesus corrects their thinking by declaring that

he is the I am. Let's now join Pastor John for the continuation of this study and see just what it means that Jesus is the great I am.

And what God really is would only be fully and completely revealed when he became a man and when Jesus came into our midst. Listen, I am blank is what God was saying
