I'm Pastor Mike Winger and this is Bible Thinker the program dedicated to thinking

biblically about everything. All right this is part 11 in the Mark series, going

verse by verse through the entire Gospel of Mark,

and I'm going to give you a little preview

on some of the things we're going to cover today,

although this isn't all of it, because we're covering

really Mark chapter 3, verse 7,

I think through 19, is where we'll end up today

but we're going to be covering why the 12 apostles like why if you think

about this like why 12 apostles?

What was so special about these guys?

Why were they selected?

What was the strategy that God had in mind for them because they were important for a first century

work, but they were also important for, and this is kind of neat for apologetic. for them

for them, because they were also important for,

and this is kind of neat for apologetics,

for the historical evidence for not only the existence of Jesus,

but also his resurrection.

And the Apostles played an important role in

not only establishing the Church church but in helping secure

that the evidence was there for later generations to have.

And it's just, it's brilliant how God did it and I want us to appreciate it.
