And remember, it's all about Jesus.

Well, when it comes to your life, a lot of who you become is contingent on two things,

the family you grew up in and how you respond to it.

You can grow up in a great family and perhaps not benefit from it if you respond in rebellion

or benefit from it if you are teachable and humble and receive the instruction.

You can grow up in a bad family and continue that legacy or you can break that legacy and

use it as a negative example in a way in which you want things to be different.

And so as we look today at this issue of family on this being Mother's Day, I wanted to

look at Jesus' family.

Jesus is the most significant, preeminent person who lived in the history of the world.

And we know quite a bit about Jesus and sometimes what's overlooked is his family.

What was his immediate and extended family like?

And that's what we'll explore together today.
