Lonnie Frisbee plays a key role in the movie. That's because Frisbee played a key

role in the Jesus movement. He was the hippie preacher who helped lead thousands to the Lord

and perform mass beach baptisms on the Southern California coast. And he's the young man who

imparted his vision of reaching lost hippies to Pastor Chuck Smith, who then launched the

Calvary Chapel movement.
