around the scriptures going verse by verse through a book of the Bible in order to get

Right today, we're looking at John chapter 12 verses 23-23. And it says, now among those

who went up to worship at the feast were some Greeks. So in other words, these are non-Jewish

people who are coming to a Jewish feast. So perhaps they were converts to Judaism, even

though they were ethnically Jews. And verse 21 continues, so these came to Philip, who

was from Bethesda in Galilee and asked him, sir, we wish to see Jesus. Philip went and

told Andrew, Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus. And Jesus answered them, the hour

has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. And we're going to stop right there. Jesus

goes on to say some other things, but this is an interesting response from Jesus based

on what just happened. So you get the picture, right? These non-Jewish people are coming

to a Jewish feast. They have heard about Jesus somehow way out where they live. We don't

know where they live specifically, but they've heard about Jesus and they want to see him.

Perhaps they're interested in converting to become a follower of Jesus, not just converting

to Judaism. And so in these two disciples, come and tell Jesus about it. Jesus answers
