Throughout your life, you're going to have times where you feel overlooked, you feel forgotten,

you feel times of suffering and persecution, affliction, like that, that is the common denominator in life.

You're going to, as Jesus said, have trouble, have sorrow, have suffering.

This is just reality.

And you need to remember, like it's so crucial that in those

moments, we remember we have a God who looks after the overlooked. Jesus looks after, cares for,

is present with the overlooked. There's a digital artist named Kevin Cardin.

You'll see his image on the screen that he created three years ago.

It's called The Good Shepherd is on the way.

I want you to look at that picture.

I see somebody nod in their head.

Like you're familiar with this.

It's been all over social media.

See yourself in that image as you look at it, they leave it up on the screen because what you will

see in scripture like this isn't just Kevin Cardin's imagination this is the reality of

Luke 15 where Jesus says that what shepherd when he loses a sheep does not leave the 99 in open country and goes after the

one that is lost?

But those words and the image that Kevin produced that Jesus said, you see throughout the

entirety of scripture, through Genesis 3, where Adam and Eve first sin sin God is in pursuit of them all the way

through John exiled on the island of Patmos like this guy is causing too much trouble we're going to put

him in prison in a dark dank cave that we might shut him in the gospel up. And Jesus goes to him there.

In every single book in between, we have this God that is in pursuit that he looks after
