Evan, it's a joy to get to meet you. I'm new to your music, I have to say, and what I have

listened to have very, very much enjoyed. What's your history growing up? Well my dad was a

pastor of a church and a long story but he ended up working at a homeless

shelter and we were in Los Angeles.

I studied in Spain and college and ended up going to Mexico on a mission trip for a weekend and that was like the defining moment in my life where I was like this is what I want to do

where I really felt God speak to me and and say hey this you know nothing's going to happen unless you learn to love my people, to truly love them.

That this is, they're not a stepping stone, they're not, you know, people for you to pre-chat they're my my children and I love them and so it

started this really amazing journey where I started you know traveling to

Colombia and studied in Costa Rica got a degree in Spanish and

or I knew that if I wanted to serve well I had to actually be prepared and so

that's kind of how it happened and things went crazy on YouTube and I found out I kind of had a knack for writing songs in Spanish and here I am.

I'm 32.

Did your parents push you?

It was your idea. Oh my gosh. You know my dad went to one of my concerts in

Los Angeles when I was like 21 and there was like 12 people. And then the next concert he went to was in Mexico and there were 5,000 young like teenagers and young adults and he was crying and I was like man get it together he's weeping and I'm like what is what's going on
