We live in a fast-paced, ever-moving world where everyone seems to be rushing in every direction.

And yet, in scripture, God desires to teach us that walking with him is our greatest and most important adventure.

From the time that the Lord Jesus Christ came into this world, it seems that his life was a constant journey.

He was always on the move.

For example, we know that he was born in Bethlehem, but you remember that very shortly after the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ,

Joseph and Mary were called on to run, to flee into Egypt, to take

the child. And so first, he travels into Egypt. And then the angel of the Lord comes and says,

all right, you can come back into the land now. And so they come back and they settle in a place

called Nazareth in Galilee. We know, of course, in Jesus' day,

that people walked everywhere they went, especially poor people. And so you can only imagine

how much walking the Lord Jesus Christ did during his lifetime. All over the land of the Galilee,

some people have estimated that in his three year earthly ministry,

he probably walked at least 3,000 miles.

Now that, my friends, is a lot of miles.

Especially when you consider all different weather conditions

and all different terrain, he's always moving.

You'll remember that early in his in his ministry he goes into the

wilderness and then much of his ministry he's just moving from town to town and place to place

he is on a journey for the salvation of souls now instead of staying with one scripture today, like we most often do,
