interesting. I just have a feeling today. It's going to get a little interesting. I really do my best to avoid getting bogged down in the headlines.

I think we've done pretty good in the last however many months we've been doing before the noise.

We've stayed away from the headlines.

And I don't want to get in that. I'm not going to get in the headlines today. So I just want to

say, to be clear, everything I'm going to say after this is not, it's not about the headlines.

But it is about our reaction to what's going on in the headlines. But that's true all the time.

And I want us to dig in a little bit today of this idea of being a nice Christian. Now, normally we're working

through the scripture expositorily, which means we just go verse by verse chapter by chapter

through a book, and we just finished first John. If you missed that, please go back and

watch it. And every now and then, if you'll give me the liberty, I like to just take a topical

moment and just spend some time with you on a topic that might be something that's affecting our lives.

And right now, we are under attack. People of the Christian faith, not people of

faith, people of the Christian faith are under attack. And I was tempted this morning to read to you

some of the things that have been said to me in the last 24 hours, just on the basis of my faith.

I'm not going to do that.

It's pretty strong with the expletives. You guys are not strangers to that. You've been on the internet. Gone are the days of being able to get on social media and look at somebody's food

pictures or their selfie. We used to make fun of those things. Now we sort of miss them, don't we? Because

people have learned that they have not only a platform, but some sense of expertise and authority

and celebrity whereby they're supposed to be able to go on their platform and spill their
