Hello my friends and I am so thankful you're with me today for the morning mindset

this is our time to dig into the scriptures for this day so that we can understand how to live a Christian life.

And I can think of no better passage than the one that we've reached today, John Chapter 15.

If you listen to yesterday's episode, you got that introductory flavor of what we're dealing with here. Jesus is describing the relationship that exists between himself and us as believers in Jesus Christ.

Now let's stop for a moment to define what we mean by believers in Jesus Christ. We're not talking about just an intellectual

belief that Jesus is the son of God or that he came to the earth or that he is

the quote-unquote savior of all men.

We're talking about a personal belief,

a belief in something like what you would have to have

if you were trusting in something or someone. It's pretty deep to trust. It's deep to

put all your reliance in something. And we do that in all kinds of walks of life. I mean when we get on an airplane, we are

trusting some more than others that that plane is reliable to take us to the destination.

Same thing with a vehicle of any sort.

Same thing with the chair you sit on,

you trust and it holds you up.

I mean, trust is the foundation of what we're talking about when we say those who believe in Jesus Christ.

And what are we trusting him for?

We're trusting him for our eternal destiny, our eternal well-being. We're trusting that as

he taught he is the only way to the father. We're trusting that if we place our trust in him, he will in turn grant us all of the

precious promises of the New Testament that we're actually in the process of unpacking in this

episode. One of those promises is that we have a spiritual connection to

Jesus now that we have placed our trust in him.
