Today, as we take a few moments to pray and connect with Jesus, we are also going to take communion.

Communion is a special moment where we remember what Jesus has done for us.

All you need to take communion is a little piece of bread or cracker and some juice or wine,

really any type of beverage, to symbolize Jesus's broken body and the blood that was shed for us.

that's okay as well. You can just pray along with me. In John 1246, Jesus is telling a crowd of people, I have come as the light to shine in this dark

When Jesus broke bread with his disciples, it was in a dark place. He was about to die. But the whole reason he came was not only to be the

light, but to bring light where it is darkest. Where do you need the light of Jesus to invade today?

When you turn on a light in a room, it immediately dispels the dark.

I don't know if you've ever heard a noise in the dark room,

or what noise that was, but being in the dark can bring unnecessary fear.

So today, we're going to ask Jesus to come into an area where it has been dark.

Maybe this area involves pain in your heart, work stress, family drama.

Maybe this has just been a dark season. Jesus sees in the dark

and he is the light and let's ask him to illuminate any darkness. Jesus, we pray today you would

bring your light to the one area that has felt so dark. Even as we take communion, let's ask him to

come in and reveal his light. You can take the cracker or bread in your hand and take a moment

to reflect with Jesus on that area that feels so dark and hopeless. His body was broken so that we could be whole.
