Please turn with me in your Bibles to Acts Chapter 9, the great chapter in the book of

Acts that tells us about Saul's conversion. So, Acts Chapter 9 will read, beginning in the middle

of verse 19 through verse 22. For several days Saul was with the disciples at Damascus and in the

synagogues immediately he proclaimed Jesus saying,

He is the son of God.

And all who heard him were amazed and said,

Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who call in his name?

And he has come here for this purpose to bring them bound before the chief priests. but Saul increased all the more and strength and confounded

the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus was the Christ.

On our trek through the Book of Acts last year.

We arrived at Chapter 9 and the conversion of Saul and then came the new sanctuary.

And many special services and a lot of special

focuses through the summer and the early fall and now I am ready to move back

into the Book of Acts.

And I prayed for many weeks over the summer.

Should I keep going in the Book of Acts, Lord,

is it time for a, to leave the Book of Acts and move in another direction on some thematic approach or some

other book study.

And the longer I thought about it, and the more I prayed about it, the less I could shake it off.

It felt like I would be doing the Book of Acts a kind of dishonor to drop it at Chapter 9.

And then this fall, as I thought and prayed it seemed like

preaching on the Book of Acts for the last year in the old sanctuary and the first
