this week. Welcome to the First of Team Podcast. Our passage for today comes from Hebrew 12 1 through 2 and reads,

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,

let us also lay aside every weight and sin which clings so closely and let us run with

endurance the race that has set before us looking to Jesus the founder and

perfecter of our faith who for the joy that was step before him

endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Of all the wonders our Creator provides for us,

boundless and unadulterated relationship with Jesus vastly exceeds them all.

Jesus is the best thing we will ever know.

His lover stores, satisfies, transforms, and heals.

His grace empowers and brings transcendent peace.

His nearness resolves the great fears of our hearts, and his kingship calls us to a right lifestyle of

living for heaven rather than a pursuit of that which is worldly and fleeting.

Colossus 3 1 through 4, says,

If then you have been raised with Christ,

seek the things that are above where Christ is,

seated at the right hand of God.

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth.

For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ and God.
