Thanks for joining us at the Cold Case Christianity Podcast. I'm

Jay Warner Wallace. Today, we're going to do what I have been kind of penciling in as what I'm

going to call it, at least in my own mind. We'll see how we end up titling it. But I call this in my

mind anyway, that Jesus is not God podcast. And what I want to do is take a second to examine some of the verses that people will use

to make a case against the deity of Christ.

Of course, this is an in-house conversation.

This is a kind of conversation that people who would claim to be Christ followers might talk about.

Although, I think a lot of us would argue if you don't believe

Jesus is God, we would probably not count you among the family of God called Christians.

But interestingly, this is one of those topics that if I post anything about it in terms of a video,

you get on the social media comments, and you'll see tons of people who will say, no, we're all

Christians over here, but we don't believe that Jesus is God. You have mistakenly, that's a late

invention of a creed or a council. This is not what scripture teaches. Jesus is something

other than God. And so I want to just take a little bit of time to make a case for this.

I did two podcasts just previously to this in the last couple of like four or five weeks here,

where I made a case for the deity of Christ from the number one chapters, the top three chapters

that you can actually mine for that data, John one, Hebrews

one, Colossians one, although I do think that the entire Gospel of John, and of course this

has been criticized by some people, the high Christology, right, in the Gospel of John, as if it's
