text now as you're finding your place in the Bible let me explain the whole Bible to

you it's a book that is for you but it's not primarily about you.

You go to the store and there's a lot of self-help books.

Those books are about you.

God's word, this book that God wrote,

it's a book that's for you, but it's not a book primarily about you it's a book about

God and so as we open the Bible we're always asking the question what does this teach

me about who God is?

And oftentimes God speaks and tells us who he is.

Sometimes he acts and shows us who he is.

And today you're going to see God act and it's going to teach us
