I do love the Bible, and the more I've taught the scriptures over the years, the more I just love it.

That's probably why I get kind of defensive, you know, with some of these college pipe puffing professors.

If you always hear me talk about those guys, and it's because they tend to diminish the Bible,

and a lot of them, not all of them, there's some good ones out there, of course, but, but it seems like more

and more people are, you know, they want to sort of one up the Bible or they think they know

something against the Bible. But, you know, I kind of like in people that are trying to push back

at the Bible and act like it's full of errors and all this stuff. And it's like taking a toothpick

and trying to push a boulder. Good luck with that. The Word of God is living and powerful.

When Spurgeon, the preacher from the 1800s in London, was asked, you know, what's the best way to

defend the Bible? He said, defend the Bible. He says, how do you defend a lion? Just let it out of its cage.

And that's right. The Bible is living and powerful,

sharper than any two-edged sword. And I do love teaching the Bible. And, you know, the more I

study the scriptures, have you ever been reading the Bible and you just kind of get that

burning in your heart of like, wow, God's word is amazing. And I do have those moments, you know, where I just kind of

feel like, oh, Jeremiah had that. Poor Jeremiah, he was a, you know, prophet of the Old Testament who

nobody listened to him ever. Like for 42 years, he'd speak the Word of the Lord. And then they're like,

yeah, whatever, we don't believe you, Jeremiah. And they were mean to them threw him in dungeons and did all kinds

of horrible things to poor Jeremiah and Jeremiah got to a point in his ministry so that I'm no longer

going to speak the word of the Lord I am done I'm hanging it up I'm throwing in the towel but then he says

kind of rhetorically but then well let me just show you it's a great scripture it's Jeremiah chapter 20

right there in verse

nine. Jeremiah says, then said, I will not make mention of him nor speak anymore in his name,
