Today's talk comes from Pastor Louis Giglio.

H.G. Wells was a well-known writer and historian in England in the 1800s, and he said,

I am a historian, not a believer, but I must confess as a historian that this penniless preacher from Nazareth is irrevocably the very center of history.

That's what H.G. Wells thought about Jesus, the very center of history.

And you can look across the spectrum of people who have lived in the last several

thousand years and find all kind of opinions about Jesus. But what we wanted to do in these next

few weeks together is just let Jesus talk. So that you don't need to hear a preacher tell you

about Jesus. You don't need to hear a preacher tell you about Jesus.

You don't need to hear some pastor tell you what you need to think about Jesus.

You don't need to hear some podcast tell you what you need to think about Jesus.

You don't even need H.G. Wells as much as I love what he thought about Jesus.

You don't need some philosopher, some debater, some online voice or critic to tell you what they

think about Jesus, because there are people on all sides of the spectrum, people like this who think

he's the very center of history.

There are other people who think he is a figment of our imagination concocted by people to start

a movement towards religion so that they could get

power on earth. And there is everyone in between. But praise God, we can let Jesus talk for himself.

And we can hear in Jesus' own words who he is. And that way you can come face to face with Jesus. And you can

choose at the end of this collection to believe what Jesus says and let it change your life. Or you can

choose to have your own opinion and maybe go a different way, but at least you will have heard

...
