All right, grab your Bibles, we're in the book of Acts. We start a new book of the Bible today.

Marceau, we like books of the Bible, right? Go to the book of Acts. As you're turning there, we're going to study together

over the course of nine weeks, the early history of the first Christians. But here's how we're going to study it.

We're not going to study it as scholars. We're going to study it as soldiers. Scholars and soldiers

tend to be the ones who study history the most. Scholars want to look at what people used to do.

Soldiers want to see what remains to be done. Those who are scholars, they study history for the sake of information.

Those who are soldiers study it for the sake of mission. As we come to study the history of the early church,

we're not just looking at what God used to do, but what God still wants to do. Amen?

And we're invited today to be part of the most important mission in the history of the world.
