We're going to pick up right where we left off last week. We're going to be in John, chapter two, beginning, and verse 13. Let me begin by saying, man, I'm glad to see you guys. with you just so you know, we don't succumb to the elements easily around here. Just so you know,

I was in my office last Sunday morning, 4 o'clock in the morning, up with all the meteorologists

who were just having a grand all time, you know, watching the weather radar and texting with our lead

team and watching the folks who've been trying to clear our lots so much this week. Can we just give

them a hand, by the way, the folks have been clearing our lots? Yeah. And then, man, I was just watching

that freezing rainfall. And then we finally made the decision that we were going to go ahead and just go

all online. And man, i was grumpy about it and

here's why because it kind of gave me flashbacks to 2020 and lockdowns and all that kind of thing

and i'm an introvert but i hated the lockdowns like i'm i'm good for one snow day but after one snow

day let's all go back to work like that's kind of that's kind of how i'm wired And so it just kind of made me grumpy a little bit, a little bit mildly annoyed. My wife would tell you that I've been grumpy for two weeks. Part of that is because I don't dig on winter. Like, it's not my thing. I don't like winter. C.S. Lewis described Narnia before, before Aslan came on the scene. and he said, listen, it was winter with never Christmas. And that's like a description of hell, right? Because the only good thing about winter is Christmas. Now this year we got Winter Olympics. So that's going to help a little bit. But for me, once we get to Christmas after we're through Christmas, I'm like, let's go to Keenland, right? Like, let's go,

let's get to, let's get to spring. And so I've just been kind of mildly annoyed. Now, there's a big difference, though, between being mildly annoyed and being angry. So let me ask you this, when was the last time you were genuinely angry? And some of you all are like, what time is it right now?

And what time was it when I was in the parking lot just a few minutes ago?

Fifteen. angry. And some of y'all are like, what time is it right now? And what time was it when I was in the parking lot just a few minutes ago, 15 minutes ago, or maybe you're like, well, watching SEC officiating last night, you know, when they hand out technical fouls, like they're on the Oprah show or something. You get a technical, you get a technical, you know, whatever it is for you, Maybe it's the car line for you. Maybe it's traffic on Nicholas Hill Road. Maybe it's watching central Kentucky

drivers not make a decision between 100 miles an hour or zero miles an hour. Maybe we could just

be somewhere in the middle with the ice and the snow. I don't know what it is for you, but the reality

for us is that being angry, and especially because of scrolling on social media and watching news feeds and things like that, it's not just a daily occurrence. It's an hourly occurrence. It's just kind of our life. Now, the truth is, I didn't know how angry I could get until I had kids.

And I don't mean, I don't mean angry at them, although that is a thing, okay?

I mean angry for them.

Parents are all nodding at me right now because they know exactly where I'm going with this.
