I'd like to begin again with just a reading from God's word. This is from 1 Corinthians 6.

Do not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God. Do not be deceived.

Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor

the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers. Basically nobody will inherit the kingdom of

God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified and you were

justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

I'd like you to imagine being a kid growing up and you're an elementary school, you're hanging out

with all your friends, you're doing whatever elementary kids do and then you start to notice some of

the older kids talking about the office at sex. They start talking about the cute guys and they

start talking about the girls that are growing breasts and entering puberty and there's these huge

discussions. And you become aware of it and you're growing up inside of it but in your own

heart and your own mind, you keep asking yourself the question, I wonder when I'm going to start

feeling about the opposite sex, the way that all of my friends start talking about the opposite sex.

And so you wait and you wait and you look around and you can see how that your friends would find

a particular feminine form attractive or a particular masculine form attractive but you don't

feel that yourselves. In your own heart you have this sense, the way they talk about the opposite

sex, that's how I feel about the same sex. And then you try to brush it out if you might know,

it just must not have happened to me yet or it's going to kick in later and it doesn't kick in later.

You start thinking yourself, oh I know what the word for this is but I'm not sure I want this.

I think this is what they call being gay. And particularly if you grew up in a Christian home

with just wonderful parents who are around you and parents who probably have never really talked

about this with you and you start asking yourself, maybe if I go for it enough times and have them
