I am Kim Stewart, one of your hosts accompanied by the host extraordinaire, Bob Goff.

Oh, I'm so glad we're on today.

It's great to just talk writing and books and process and all that. And we're just, you need to

introduce Jesse because she's just been through the process. And I think she's got some things

to share that'd be super helpful for us as we're just figuring

at how do you tell a story and get it down and what are the challenges so uh jesse welcome

thank you so much for having me yeah tell me tell me this kim how you and jesse have spent a ton of time

just connecting tell me what she's good at in her

storytelling and how you guys figure that out together because I know a lot of people listen to the

podcast are thinking the mechanics of how do we get a story out there right oh that's a really

fun first question because I adore Jesse.

You and I have spoken quite a bit about this book that you have just released. It's called

We Wrote Your Name in Color. It's a beautiful memoir that tells a brutal story that only God

could land in a place of healing.

And so why don't we start with talking a little bit about this story?

I'd love for folks who haven't met you yet, we'd love to hear a little bit of just a

synopsis of this story.

And then we would love to hear as fellow writers, and I know

folks listening, they would just love to hear how you took something that is so personal
