Hey guys, welcome to View from the Cheap Seats. We have the Sklar Brothers and on Today's Show. We have a fantastic guest. You know him from our late segments. He always does the fantasy report, Jesse Thorn. But he is such a huge San Francisco Giants fan as we are starting. We're kind of like in the past.

We're like in the meat about ready to get to the dog days of summer. Post the NBA playoffs. It is all about baseball. And the Giants are really probably the most surprising team of the entire management baseball this year.

We're going to find out why and he gets some walks of through the nuts and bolts. We're of course talking about Jesse Thorn.

But let's first talk about baseball. We've got a huge topic. Something that blew up this week. And it was Bob Brenley who, you know, say what you want to say about him.

He's an announcer. He's I would describe him as nondescript. I would describe him as nondescript. But he became descriptive. This week when he was describing that picture.

Marcus Strowman. Marcus Strowman when he was talking about what he was wearing on his hat. He had like a sort of do rag on his head underneath his hat.

And this comment was apropos of nothing in the middle of the game. It meant nothing against the dime. And Brenley's a dime and backs an answer. He's not a met's an asshole. And he was like, there's Charlie Strowman wearing the starly.

Strowman or Marcus Strowman. Marcus Strowman. There's Marcus Strowman wearing the same do rag that Tom Sever wore, I believe, when he pitched for the meds.

Kind of a dig kind of a dig in the sense of saying like Tom Sever would have never would have never worn what you're wearing on your head. And that's disrespectful. And it it cuts to the core of how like if you really don't want baseball not that like wearing do it shouldn't matter what you wear on your head.

First of all, if you're playing like who knows why he's wearing that and like why are you questioning it and why are you comparing him to Tom Sever?

Such an old man like get off my lawn. I don't understand you young generation. What are you doing? And it really exposed more about him than anything else. And to me, it's one of those things where I'm like, this is a problem in baseball. Why can't we in baseball?

This is a moment in time of flashpoint. Why can't we let players express who they are based on who they are? This is not a moment to be criticizing African American players when there are fewer African American players in the league than there have been over the past several decades.

This is not a time to be doing that. And to me, it was such a misstep. And I'm glad that there's that he he's being suspended, but it's not to me enough.

He's apologizing. He's going through sensitivity training, which I think is are all the right things. It feels like he's just doing that to save his job. But I mean, he should meet with Marcus Drowman and be like, hey man, what can I do?

Let's figure out something you and me to get rather than just me going through sensitivity training because that feels like, yes, I'm glad he's doing it and maybe he'll learn something that feels like he's going through the motions a little bit. He should reach out to Marcus Drowman and be like, hey man, that was just ridiculous. Here's what I

Marcus Drowman got tweets throughout the game and after the game, he was like, yeah, I don't like this, but I can't say what I want to say. So onward and upward. And he actually took the high road. You literally said onward and upward.
