When Cole Younger was buried, he had 14 bullets still in his body, and that's not included him with the sawbones had already dug out.

According to Cole, he had been shot a total of 20 times over the course of his life.

He also spent 25 years in prison.

And despite all of that, Cole still lived to be an old man.

This dude was like the 50 cent of Wild West history, only on steroids. You see,

Cole was a member of the infamous James Younger gang, and back in 1876, they attempted to rob

the first National Bank of Northville, Minnesota. And well, let's just say things did not go as

planned. Not only did they fail to gain access to the bank safe, but they also got shot to pieces.

Eight desperadoes may have ridden into Northfield, but only six made it out alive.

And within just a matter of days, four of those six would either be dead or in jail.

Only Jesse James and his brother Frank alluded capture, displaying an almost superhuman level of endurance in the process.

And that's what we're going to talk about today, what I consider to be the greatest manhunt in all of U.S. history.

We'll also discuss Cole Younger in his various wounds, including the one he said was the most

painful. Spoiler alert, it was not caused by a bullet. We'll examine Cole's life after he was captured, as well as the fate of his brothers.
