And I'll tell you why I'm playing this song, because it's a weird memory I have.

I was in the ninth grade, it was about the first week of the ninth grade, and we were all brought to the auditorium.

The entire ninth grade, and introduced to the new drama teachers, and then they very quickly said, we're putting on a play.

Here, this song right here, we're going to put a play on.

You, ninth graders are going to be part of it, and I don't know if you remember ninth grade.

Ninth grade, there was a lot of abuse.

And the idea of getting up on stage in front of the entire school, really a horrible idea.

And the teacher said, we need to find people to be in this play, and they played this song.

Where do I go on the piano?

And they said, who out there would like to sing this song?

And every kid sank down in their seats, and something inexplicable happened, I raised my hand.

And they said, come up here, what's your name?

I said, Michael, first.

And I walked along the side of the stage, and I stood up on the stage next to the piano, and in my head I was going, what am I doing here?

I have no singing experience, I'd only been, as you know, singing in the church choir.

And even that wasn't going well, because I brought my electric guitar in and was doing Jimmy Hendrick solos for the church songs, and got in trouble with the priest.

And he starts playing the song, and I sang it.
