It's all good. All good. First off, Tony, how are you? I just skipped you.

I'm great, Aubrey. It's great to be with you. It's great to be with Jerry Lynn and a little inside baseball here.

Right before we got on the air, I got a phone call from Dr. Britt Baker, DMD.

Oh, that bitch.

She said, no, listen to this. She said, what are you doing? I said, I'm getting ready to do a podcast and she said, I know.

And it's with Jerry Lynn. Yeah, she said.

She said, it's with Jerry Lynn. And I want you to make sure that the world does, that he is the reason behind the hardcore match.

And he is the GOAT of AEW. I couldn't do, I couldn't be where I am without him. So Jerry, what a way to start our podcast.

Well, that was sweet. But you know, it's, they went out there and did it. They busted their butts. So, you know, and I'm still learning.

I'm still learning from all the other coaches, you know, so you never stop learning. And I've still got a lot, I still got a long ways to go.

That was the sucky part about having to retire from wrestling because I didn't have a choice in the matter. My body said it was done.

Right. And there was so much, you know, there was so many things I wanted to improve on. And, you know, so in that aspect, I wish I could still get in the ring.

Sure. Sure. Sure. But let's talk about that match. Now you are, you're inducted into the hardcore Hall of Fame in 2011. So you have expertise in hardcore matches.

I don't think there's any question about that. What did you tell both women about use of thumbtacks?

You know, I never, even in my own matches and the matches that I coach, I would never ask someone to do something that I wouldn't do myself.

And it's all up to them. And I always tell everybody, if there's anything you do not feel comfortable doing, don't do it because that's when something bad will happen.
