In this particular situation, I would say that Brian Daible was given some patience

because he had two really bad seasons back to back.

This was the beginning of a third one.

And the question now is whether or not the Giants will have the patience to keep Joe Shane

and his scouting staff and all the stuff that they've already done up to this point leading

into next year's draft. But overall, the patience does wear thin here relatively quickly.
