Here today, we're going to be reacting to the Gerard Mayo introductory press conference that

occurred at Jolet Stadium earlier this week.

We're going to talk about why Bill Belichick was a presence there.

And then we're going to hit you with our full one-on-one with Gerard Mayo that happened after

the press conference.

We're getting to some interesting topics of conversation.

Does the guy want call plays?

How is he going to go about hiring an

offensive coordinator? What does he make of imposter syndrome? Is he feeling it now? And how

might that actually serve as a motivator? We're also going to get to know a little bit better,

a couple of names that have been associated with the Patriots, one Patriots employee,

one potential Patriots

employee later in the podcast. But first, let's start with my takeaways from the Mayo

introductory press conference. 15th head coach in franchise history, first black coach

in franchise history. This to me was a tone setting kind of day.

If you were looking for real meat when it comes to his football philosophy,

X's and O's, what he's going to prioritize in terms of the on the field product,

you didn't get a whole lot, but that's not what that day was about,

in my opinion.

It was about setting the tone.

And it is, of course, a changing tone going from Bill Belichick to Gerard May.
