Great conversation with Jeremy Hefner, who is the

pitching coach of the New York Mets. And he actually got this pitching coach job in December of

2019 at the age of 33, 33 years old. And he was a pitching coach. And that's very rare in the

major leagues. But Jeremy's got a great story. He's a great dude, too, and he was a pitching coach and that's very rare in the major leagues but jeremy's got a

great story he's a great dude too and he's got really a strong faith in the lord and i'm sure that's

helped him guide him along his baseball journey which has been kind of one of those up and down journeys

you know initially selected in the fifth round 2007 MLB draft by the podres and he was with the podres organization in the fifth round, 2007 MLB draft by the Padres.

And he was with the Padres organization in the minors from 2007 to 2011.

And then came to the Mets in 2012 and made his major league debut and pitched in the majors and the miners up and down in 2012 and 2013.

He underwent a Tommy John surgery in 2013 and a second Tommy John surgery in

2014. And just a couple years later, he would never get back to the majors in January of
