It has been a long week, and I'd be lying if I said that it hasn't been long for all of us, given the news that we got last weekend.

But we're finally here.

It's Friday.

And now that it's Notre Dame's off season, it's now time for the Friday free for all mailbag. However, before we get there, and you guys can continue to put in questions and comments, super chats, whatever, as we go through our first topic of today. But as you guys know, college football awards are really tonight. And then the Heisman trophy ceremony is going to be tomorrow.

And obviously, Jeremiah Love is up for quite a bit of those awards.

Doke Walker, Maxwell Award, the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award.

And obviously he's one of the four Heisman finalists.

And we wanted to take a moment because I don't know if we've done enough to kind of give credit,

given the really crappy news that we got less than a week ago that I don't know if we've given enough

credit to what Jeremiah Love has done this season and what he's done to warrant this selection

and right now he's not the odds and favorite on Fandle right now it's's Fernando Mendoza by a wide margin. Brian and I are both under the assumption that it should be, not will be, but should be. Jeremiah, we wanted to talk about that for a little bit because he's a special player, man. And you and I both believe that he encompasses what this award truly is about. It is. And I mean, we, we were kind of thinking we'd talk about it,

but, you know, as far as like putting just that final touches on a brilliant career at Notre Dame,

one that I kind of hold a little bit more close to my heart because of the fact that, you know,

like the whole commitment that he did on our show and just how awesome that was and how special

that was and something we haven't done, you know, since then. But it's one of those things

where I thought we were going to get to kind of our send off of Jeremiah Love was going to come

after the playoffs. And I just really didn't cross my mind that, that, you know, if they don't get in there,

they'll play in a bowl game.

It didn't really cross my mind that the Stanford game

was the last game we're going to see them play.
