any minister has ever been called upon to perform for the Lord.

Jeremiah had to oversee the death of the nation.

He had to watch it as it was in its final death throes as it went into convulsions and died and was carried away captive to Babylon.

His ministry was destined from the beginning for failure.

That is, the people were not going to heark and the people were not going to change.
